PRIVACY POLICIES OF READAPPY
Readappy is a community dedicated to books and readers. For this reason, we encourage, support and protect the diffusion of written thought in all languages and in all forms.
This Privacy Policy is part of the General Agreement between you (“the User”) and Readappy as provided in the latest updated version available. We reserve the right to update the content at any time without notice.
Reading the conditions provided in the Agreement will mean accepting the general provisions included in the Privacy Policy.
There are many different ways in which people may interact with Readappy: recommending and reviewing books, sharing recommendations or phrases of books like incipit. By doing so, you share information with us, for instance, by creating an account, by posting Contents, or sharing books titles. While doing so, we want you to be clear how we’re using information and how you can protect your privacy.

Information we collect:
We collect information in order to optimize our Services and to grant you a safe interaction with them. We collect information in two ways:
• Information you give us: you may provide Readappy with some information. For example, when you sign up to Readappy, we will ask for some personal information, like your name and email address. If you want to take full advantage of our features, we might also ask you to add further information, such as billing information for payments.
• Information we get from your use of our services: we may collect information about the services that you use and how you use them, like when you visit a website that uses our advertising services or when you browse and interact with our banners and Contents. This information includes:
◦ Device information: this means device-specific information, such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
◦ Log information: when you use our services or browse our Contents we may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs. This may include:
▪ details of how you used our service, such as your search queries.

▪ device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL.

We may also use various technologies to determine location, such as sensor data from your device that may, for example, provide information on nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers.
◦ Unique application numbers: Certain services include a unique application number. This number and information about your installation (for example, the operating system type and application version number) may be sent to Readappy when you install or uninstall that service or when that service periodically contacts our servers, such as for automatic updates.
◦ Local storage: We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.
◦ Cookies and anonymous identifiers: we use various technologies to collect and store information when you visit Readappy, and this may include sending one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device. We also use cookies and anonymous identifiers when you interact with services we offer to our partners, such as advertising services or features that may appear on other sites.

How we use information we collect
We use the information we collect from all of our services to provide, maintain, protect and improve them, to develop new ones, and to protect Readappy and our users.
When you contact Readappy, we may keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might be facing. We may use your email address to inform you about our services, such as letting you know about upcoming changes or improvements.
We use information collected from cookies and other technologies to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our services.
We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this Privacy Policy.
Readappy processes data on servers that may be located outside the Country where you live.
Accessing and updating your personal information
Whenever you use our services, we aim to provide you with access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it – unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.
We may reject requests that we are not able to match for technical, legal or economical reasons.
Where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. After you delete information from our services, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove information from our backup systems.

Information we share
We do not share personal information with companies, organizations and individuals outside of Readappy unless one of the following circumstances apply:
• With your consent: we will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Readappy when we have your consent to do so. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.
• For external processing: we provide personal information to other trusted businesses or persons to process it for us, based on our instructions and in compliance with our Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
• For legal reasons: we will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Readappy if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
◦ To meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
◦ to enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
◦ to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
◦ to protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Readappy, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.
We might share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners – like publishers, advertisers or connected sites. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our services.
Information security
We work hard to protect Readappy and our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of information we hold. In particular:
• We encrypt many of our services using SSL.
• We review our information collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against unauthorized access to systems.
• We restrict access to personal information to Readappy employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

Application
Our Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by Readappy, including services offered on other sites (i.e. those of our partners), but excludes services that have separate privacy policies that do not
incorporate this Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered by other companies or individuals, including products or sites that may be displayed to you in search results or other sites linked from our services. Our Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of other companies and organizations who advertise our services, and who may use cookies and other technologies to serve and offer relevant ads.

Changes
Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice. We will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review.


Code of Conduct
Readappy is a community dedicated to the art of the word, to books and readers. For this reason, we encourage, support and protect the diffusion of written thought in all languages and in all forms.
To this end, and in particular for the effective protection of freedom of expression, we have drawn a few rules, simple and clear, that all Readappy’s users, readers and writers are required to acknowledge and respect.
This Code of Conduct is part of the General Agreement between the user and Readappy as provided in the latest updated version available. We reserve the right to update the content at any time without notice. Reading the conditions provided in the Agreement will mean accepting the general provisions included in the Code of Conduct.
What Readappy’s users are committed for:
• Supporting freedom of expression: Readappy committed to supporting, in any manner and according to their abilities, the spread and defense of freedom of speech for all individuals, in respect of others' opinion, of others' rights and of laws and rules laid down to protect Readappy and its users.
• Supporting the dissemination of written communication: Readappy is a community created to enable the recommendation of books and other written Contents.
• Developing new forms of creative cooperation: the very nature of Readappy involves collaboration between people in order to create new expressions and new virtuous relationships. Therefore Readappy and Readappy’s users undertake to improve and grow cooperation among individuals.
• Encouraging open and fair debate: Readappy admits the exchange of ideas and opinions among its members, works to stimulate the "clean" and loyal dialogue, free of prohibited or offensive Content.

What Readappy’s users don’t admit:
• Violation of personal rights: Readappy prohibits and undertakes to denounce all those who publish content that offend the personal rights of anyone, such as, for instance, violation of privacy, stalking activities, private violence, threats, insults, defamation and any other action potentially infringing the rights of the single.
• Content detractors: Readappy prohibits the publication and sharing of any Content bearer of discrimination based on sex, age, religion, social status, nationality, place of birth or origin, ethnicity.
• Offenses against minors: Readappy prohibits the publication or sharing of anything in relation to children which is considered as sexually suggestive or violent. Readappy forbids and condemns any form of violence, even if indirect or veiled, in relation to children and adolescents.
• Offenses against women: Readappy prohibits the publication or sharing of anything that contains references deemed unpleasant against the female gender, even if expressed in an indirect or subtle way.
• Apology of violence in all its forms: Readappy prohibits and contrasts advocating extreme violence or hatred against individuals or groups.
• Incitement to violence in all its forms: Readappy prohibits and denounces the incitement to violence or
hatred against individuals or groups. Although we firmly believe that the best response to hatred and violence is not censorship, Readappy reserves the right to take the measures it considers most appropriate to prevent the dissemination of these ideas through its own channels.
• Incitement to break the laws: Readappy prohibits incitement to violate, circumvent or evade the international and national laws.

What Readappy’s users do not do when using Readappy:
• Spamming: it is forbidden any activity intended to disrupt the normal use of the Content by the users, as well as any activity aimed at obtaining benefits or profits without an explicit authorization from Readappy, such as, for example, sending unwanted messages or content aggregation, posting misleading or deceptive comments or tags, entering misleading links, or links with dubious origin in their content, using deceptive means to generate income or data traffic, or creating Contents with the primary purpose of marketing. And forwards, it is prohibited the automatic creation of accounts or automatic delivery of Content. Readappy is against the use of such forms of communication and interaction, so we disavow and reject any responsibility for these activities.
• Violation of copyright: all are bound to respect copyright and trademark laws. It is a policy of Readappy to respond to notices of alleged infringement of copyright or trademark, as provided by clauses inserted in the Agreement General.
• Violation of privacy: It is forbidden to use Readappy and its services deceptively to obtain personal information. It is also prohibited from posting content that violates the Readappy Privacy Policy.
• Endangering the safety of systems and data: Readappy reserves the right to act with the means allowed by law, against anyone attempting to the safety of their IT infrastructure, databases and the data of Readappy and of its users.

Penalties:
If Readappy should hold that there is any violation of the Code of Conduct it reserves the right to send a specific written notice via email.
If the alleged responsible is unable to explain or correct their behavior, their account may be suspended and/or deleted, and its IP address may be blocked.
Readappy strives to ensure fair treatment in all cases we reserve the right to terminate accounts and/or remove any Content without notice for any reason, but above all to protect our services, our infrastructure, our users and the entire Readappy community. These rules do not create a contractual duty to Readappy.

Readappy is a community which is open to new ideas and contributions.
